Clients are never charged for placement services

Senior placement services are provided independently by DeAnne Vaughan, CSPA® DBA Driftmark Senior Placements. These services are separate from any real estate brokerage services offered through Team Driftmark and eXp Realty.

A transition this important deserves personal attention.

Choosing senior living can feel overwhelming, especially when a family is balancing health needs, finances, timing, location and the wishes of a loved one.

DeAnne helps families understand their options, identify appropriate communities and move through the process with greater clarity. Every family receives individualized guidance based on its priorities—not a one-size-fits-all list.

Whether you are planning well in advance or responding to an urgent change, the conversation begins with listening.

Finding the right environment for the next chapter

The appropriate choice depends on independence, care needs, preferences, budget, location and the services available at each community.

01

Independent Living

Residential communities designed for older adults who want a more convenient lifestyle, social opportunities and fewer home-maintenance responsibilities.

02

Assisted Living

Communities offering housing, meals and support with certain activities of daily living while encouraging independence.

03

Memory Care

Specialized settings intended to support residents living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other memory-related needs.

04

Skilled Nursing

Licensed nursing environments for people who require a higher level of medical or rehabilitative support than assisted living generally provides.

05

Short-Term and Respite Options

Temporary arrangements that may support recovery, caregiver relief or a transitional period while longer-term decisions are being made.

06

Home-Based Resources

When remaining at home may be appropriate, families can be connected with relevant local resources for further evaluation.

A thoughtful process from the first conversation to move-in

Timing and circumstances differ, but every family deserves an organized process and clear expectations.

Step One

Listen and Learn

Begin with the person’s needs, preferences, daily routines, location, timing and financial considerations.

Step Two

Research Options

Identify and investigate communities that may fit the family’s stated needs and priorities.

Step Three

Compare and Tour

Review available information, discuss important questions and coordinate conversations or community tours.

Step Four

Support the Transition

Remain available as the family evaluates its options, selects a community and prepares for the transition.

More than a list of names

Community research considers publicly available information, services represented by the community and the family’s individual priorities. Conditions, pricing, staffing and availability can change, so families should also complete their own review before making a final decision.

Licensing Status

Review of applicable Florida Agency for Health Care Administration licensing information.

Inspection and Enforcement History

Consideration of publicly available inspection, enforcement and regulatory information.

Services and Care

Review of represented services, levels of care, amenities and resident-support capabilities.

Staffing and Safety

Consideration of available information and questions regarding staffing, supervision, security and emergency procedures.

Pricing and Availability

Review of current information supplied by communities, subject to change and direct confirmation.

Personal Compatibility

Location, environment, routines, preferences, social needs, budget and family involvement.

Important information about placement services

No fee to clients

Driftmark Senior Placements does not charge clients or families for placement services. When an eligible placement occurs, a participating community may compensate Driftmark Senior Placements.

All communities may be considered

The research process is not limited to communities that provide compensation. Families may ask whether a particular community has a compensation relationship with Driftmark Senior Placements.

Written permission before sharing

Questionnaire information is used to understand the family’s needs. It is not shared with a community or outside party without written permission.

Separate from real estate

Placement services do not establish a real estate brokerage relationship and are not conditioned upon listing, selling, leasing or purchasing property through Team Driftmark or eXp Realty.

Family decision and due diligence

The client and family make the final decision. Families should tour communities, review contracts, verify current licensing, services, staffing, pricing and availability, and ask questions directly before committing.

Guidance—not clinical advice

Placement services do not provide medical, clinical, legal, financial, insurance or tax advice and do not replace qualified licensed professionals.

Questions families commonly ask

Is there a fee for placement services?

No. Clients and families are never charged for placement services. When an eligible placement occurs, Driftmark Senior Placements may be compensated by the participating community.

Do we have to sell a home?

No. Placement guidance is not conditioned on selling a home or using Team Driftmark for real estate services. If real estate assistance is requested, it is handled separately through the appropriate brokerage consultation and agreements.

How are communities recommended?

Options are considered using the information supplied by the family, publicly available research, represented services, current availability and the person’s needs, preferences, location and budget. Families make the final selection.

Are only paying communities considered?

No. All communities may be considered. Community compensation does not limit the family’s ability to explore other options, and families may ask about compensation relationships.

Will our information be sent to communities?

Not without written permission. Completing the initial questionnaire helps DeAnne understand the situation, but submitting it alone does not authorize disclosure to a community or outside party.

What if we need help quickly?

Contact DeAnne as soon as possible to discuss the timing and available options. Placement guidance is not an emergency, medical or crisis-response service. Call 911 for an immediate emergency.

Does DeAnne determine the appropriate level of care?

No. Medical and clinical determinations must be made by the appropriate licensed healthcare professionals and the evaluating community. DeAnne helps families organize, research and compare possible options.

Start with a confidential conversation.
